Steffen and Huong visited Uganda for 2 weeks touring the country, visiting farmers’ organisations, and discussing with CIDI, EADEN and other potential partners. We agreed on a way forward for the collaboration, starting with CIDI, in Eastern Uganda (Soroti district) and Southwest, (Rakai). Soroti was haunted by the notorius ‘Lords’ resistance Army’ for many years, and the people were internally displaced in refugee camps. Now they have returned. Rakai is the place where AIDS first broke out in massive scale and made many children orphans
