TROFACO in Vietnams Northern Mountains

As part of our collaboration with ActionAid Vietnam, TROFAC worked with communities in a district next to the Vietnamese border with China. The villagers were clearing the last bit of weeds and shrubs and making the land available for tree planting. 19 families will share the management of the 12 hectares on the hill, which had been barren for many years. The commune mayor and the district authorities were delighted, as they plan to increase forestry in their area. Now the villagers are just waiting for a good rain, then they will plant!
