New customers, more areas

In July we signed a multi-year agreement with a major transport company, ANCOTRANS. The area to be planted over the coming years include the hills above.

We visited many other planting sites, and looked at a large area with excellent opportunities for planting  a lot of trees. The image from Google Earth – below – illustrate the point. The hills are barren because people have cut the trees over time, and allowed cows and goats to graze – killing any new seedlings. With our agreement with the Kingdom and Buganda, trees we plant will be safe!

Barren hills in the west of Rakai district, Uganda, as seen from a satellite – Lots of  room for trees!
